Getting paid for Google Adsense
Do you know that Google AdSense sends out cheques in local currencies to publishers in 43 countries? Currently they are supporting Electronic Funds Transfer in 16 countries. If your country is not eligible for payment in local currencies or electronic funds transfer, you can still get paid. But, you will have to find a way to cash in those USD cheques
If you are from Malaysia, of course you still can get paid. The best way is request your cheque using standard postal service. But here comes the bad news. You will receive your cheque only two weeks after they send it by postal mail. You will also have to wait for another 30 days (floating cheque) after you bank-in to your local bank account. Malaysian local banks will usually take a high charge such as buying the currency at a rate of RM3.4/RM3.35 per dollar (depending on current currency rates), 10% commission fee and an “unknown” commission for money transfer service (from US bank to Malaysian bank to your own bank account).
Overall, the process will take about on average (30 + 14 days) = 44 days to get your money into your bank account. This does not include how many days/month you should wait in order to reach the total minimum of USD 100 in your Google Adsense account
