Portable bookmarks manager
As an avid web user, I have a collection of websites that I like to refer to often, so I bookmark them in my Favourites list browser. However that list is in my desktop, which could be quite a problem if I were to leave my computer and travel outside my home. This might not be a problem for laptop users but it will certainly cause issues with desktop users like me. What if I need to refer to these bookmarks quickly? Certainly I should not be writing the URLs down!
But I found this interesting software that might just prove to be a long-term solution to my problem. Portable Bookmarks is a compact, mobile and browser-independent portable bookmark manager software that you can use for that much-needed mobility. According to the website, this software allows you download your bookmarks and attach it to any computer via a removable device. It also provides useful tools to manage your database protecting it with a password.
The program supports Windows 2000/XP/2003 so one does not have to worry about compatibility issues. The software can be purchased for $24.95 (personal licence) or for $39.95 (family licence) but you can try out the trial version of the software before you decide to buy. A good deal, yes?
