Why you should not rely on free web hosting

If you have free website hosted on Geocities or a blog hosted with free blog services such as Blogger, or Blogsome, the chances are that web directories will not be too keen on listing your site or blog. This is because, as experience shows, these type of websites or blogs are perceived as lousy and fourth-class, the pariah of the internet. People who have free sites are generally lazy people who do not generally put too much SEO work. Moreover, these type of websites tend to have less information and are less reliable than websites which are on paid hosting. Search engines, and that includes all directories, will pass over a website that do not have original content or great live links.

Maintain a blog audience

These days it is easy to create and own a blog. But how does one maintain a consistent number of blog readers? Japanese lead in blogging, blogosphere growth slowing

Japanese has once again taken the top spot as the language with the most blog posts, followed by English, according to a report released on Thursday by blog search site Technorati. According to this news report, Technorati says:

“In terms of blog posts by language, Japanese retakes the top spot from our last report, with 37 percent (up from 33 percent) of the posts followed closely by English at 36 percent (down from 39 percent). Additionally there was movement in the middle of the top 10 languages, highlighted by Italian overtaking Spanish for the number four spot,” concludes the “State of the Live Web” report, formerly called “State of the Blogosphere.” “The newcomer to the top 10 languages is Farsi, just joining the list at #10.” Chinese has the third spot.
