The power of inbound links and anchor text
John Scott has written a blog post on the importance of inbound links and anchor text for your website when doing SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) in order to be ranked high up in the search engine list as well as for the Google spiders to track your website and give you a good PageRank in their next update. Here is a short excerpt from the article:
Successful search engine optimization employs many factors. However, one of the most important factors is the anchor text of inbound links. Because Google, among other search engines, puts a significant amount of weight on the anchor text of inbound links, anchor text can be a decisive factor when going after top ranking on extremely competitive search terms.
Precisely how powerful is anchor text of inbound links? It is entirely possible to achieve top ranking for extremely competitive keywords without any hint of on-page-elements SEO.
One of the ways to get inbound links is to submit your website to a web directory, such as Emporium Directory, we are a general web directory containing quality and hand-picked listings at affordable rates. Submit to our directory to increase your backlinks, popularity and traffic.

Sabahan.com appears in Google Adsense
I was perusing the pings in Project Petaling Street recently and I notice this Adsense ad right in the middle.

Looks like our very own Sabahan SEO guy, a blog which I visit often for monetizing tips and latest tech news, has placed his ad via the Google Adwords programme. I have been toying with the idea of placing our directory for Google Adwords, seeing this has given me the impetus to really consider the idea seriously. I guess it will not be long before you see Emporium Directory advertised in your Google Adsense ads ![]()
